Garden of the week is judged on each Sunday of the growing season.
Since there are 16 Zones to be judged, we begin around the middle of May and finish around the first of September.
A rotating schedule is published each year, so that each zone is not judged at the same time. ALL dues paying members
are eligible for consideration.
Candidates in each zone can win in consecutive years. Please remember this is a contest, and if no other
residences in the zone have put forth sufficient effort to warrant recognition, there is no reason not to
award a recipient two years in a row. This gives the "Garden of the Week" sign the special status it deserves.
Garden of the Week is recognition of hard work and aesthetic beauty. Artificial items such as silk flowers
should not be considered as they don't represent the true spirit of gardening.
